Vehicle Wrap Case Study

Oregon National Guard

When it comes to the arena of using fleet graphics, the goal is to increase visibility and brand awareness. In the case of the Oregon National Guard, the additional goal was to stimulate recruitment. This client needed the unique expertise that we could provide by creating design concepts for several vehicle types to appeal to varied generations while expressing the core values of courage, confidence, trustworthiness and community involvement.

We addressed engineering difficulties by making sure that the art wrapped properly around the different styles of handles, moldings and bumpers. Our printing press was large enough to complete vehicle hoods in one piece rather than having a seam.

Of course, we orchestrated installations around the complex schedules that the Guard can’t deviate from, keeping things simple for another valued client. We have completed several programs for both the Army and Air National Guard.

Graphic Wrap Case Study

South Florida Regional Transportation Authority

South Florida RTA had a goal: to make their ticketing machines more attractive and noticeable to their passengers. They designed a breezy tropical scene that was both creative and easy to find. Our many years of experience with equipment labels, and our ability to coordinate graphic installs for the transit industry, made us the perfect choice to complete their project.

During the consultation process with SFRTA, we were able to advise them on the proper material needed to adhere to the special stainless steel machines. They provided the artwork and blueprints.

We customized the artwork to fit and supplied a prototype before producing graphic wraps for 135 machines. From here in Portland, we coordinated the installation of 85 units in 18 different stations in Florida, making the project as effortless as possible for our client.

Vehicle Wrap Case Study

Tillamook County Transportation District

Tillamook County knows they can count on Gillespie to provide graphics durable enough to stand up to tough coastal conditions and exciting enough to help reach their marketing goals. During the last 12 years we have worked together on a variety of projects, including the designs pictured.

In 2010, TCTD, located in a small Oregon town, battled huge metro area transportation districts from throughout the country in BusRide magazine’s MotorVision vehicle wrap contest and won 1st place. The winning Holstein cow bus wrap is shown here. We were able to bring their idea to life with lots of engineering and creativity. When parents are lining up to take their kids for a ride on the cow bus, TCTD knows they have won more than a contest; they have won some hearts.
